Examination has always scared the hell out of students, even the brightest ones. Every other activities except sleep and eating is forgotten before exams. 1. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)- Civil Service Examination

Union Public Service Commission commonly known as UPSC is considered as the India's toughest entrance exam. If there is one exam in India which literally requires you to know everything under the sun, it has to be Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC. This exam is for civil services like IAS, IPS and IFS. This examination is very difficult and it has both written round and viva. According to the data, about 10 lakhs students apply for this exam every year but only 0.1-0.3% of the students pass this exam. So, from this we can imagine, how difficult Civil Services is.

2. AIIMS PG Exam

You must have heard about the  All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) exam, as it one of the most difficult exam of medical. But AIIMS PG Exam is even more difficult. AIIMS PG exam is conducted for admission to MD, MS, DM, M.CH and MDH. There are only 124 seats and it is conducted twice in a year. You will surprise to know that 25% seats are for Undergraduates and the remaining seats are reserved. Due to this, AIIMS PG is considered as toughest exams as it is difficult for general students to get one seat.

3. Common Admission Test (CAT)

Common Admission Test commonly known as CAT is conducted to get admission in Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Candidates can enroll in India's top Management school from this. This exam mostly focus on Verbal Reasoning and Aptitude Test. This exam is fully Objective and you have to solve many questions in limited time. If you want to do MBA from prestigious Colleges like IIM, then you need to secure very high percentile in your CAT exam. Doing MBA from IIM will help you to get high placement. Therefore CAT exam is considered as one of the toughest exam of India.

4. IIT-JEE Exam

Joint Entrance Exam is the toughest exam for Engineering candidate. IIT-JEE is conducted to get admission in top Engineering Colleges. IIT-JEE Exam is categorised into two parts i.e JEE Mains and JEE Advance. JEE Mains are conducted twice in a year in January and April. JEE Advance is conducted only in May. Through JEE Mains, you can get admission in NITs, IIITs etc and through JEE Advance, you can get admission in IITs. This is the highest level examination for engineering students in the entire country. About 10000 students get admission in IIT and about 50000 students in NITs, IITs, GFTIs etc.  Every year 12 lakhs student give this exam but only some thousands get admission in these Colleges. According to the figure, the selection in this is according to the ratio 1:45 which is very low. So, this is one of the toughest entrance exam in India.

5. Charted Accountant Exam

Charted Accountant Exam is not only very difficult exam in India but also the most difficult exam in the world. CA is a long duration course. it takes 5 year to complete. 
Charted Accountant Exam is conducted by Institute of Charted Accountant of India (ICAI). There are three levels to clear this exam - Foundation, Intermediate and Final. To clear final exam, you have to work very hard. You will be surprised to know, only 8% of the candidates get success in this examination. Therefore, this is the toughest exam in India.

6. Indian Engineering Services Exam

Indian Engineering Services (IES) Exam is one of the India's most difficult exam. This exam is also conducted by the UPSC and is similar to the Civil Services. This exam has four rounds - Aptitude, Objective Technical Paper, Written Technical Paper and the Interview. After clearing all this rounds, you can become an IES officer. You can get the opportunity to work under the government of India. The officers are appointed as railways, roads, Manufacturing, Telecommunication, Public work and lot more. Many people give this exam as it provide good work environment and handsome salary.

7. National Defence Academy Exam

National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is the toughest exam of the armed forces. You can give this exam after 12th Science. This exam is objective type and there are questions on Aptitude and Reasoning. Physical fitness is also conducted to test the fitness level of the candidates. After clearing this examination, you can get the opportunity to work in Army, Air force and Navy. This exam is very prestigious in India.
This exam is very difficult to clear as millions of people give this exam every year. Candidates need be physically and mentally fit to clear this examination. 

8. Common Law Admission Test

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam is for those who have intrest in law and justice system. CLAT is a national level exam conducted for those candidates who want to take admission in Undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. Through CLAT score, you can get admission in Top National law University. You can also get Admission in different private Universities through CLAT scores. The seats in these Colleges are very limited and candidates are more. Therefore, it is tough to clear this exam. This examination is of two hours, in which questions English, Maths, logical reasoning, Aptitude and Legal reasoning are asked.
